Being safe but not shut away
We all want to live and work in a safe environment being respected and welcomed by neighbours and showing respect for others as well as our community. A decent community is one where the local people have a strong sense of Civic Pride. That's why I have started this site.
Tell others about the positive, and negative, things happening in St Michaels ward. Use this site to alert other residents to problems as they arise and also to offer solutions to problems posted here.
If you are having an event, maybe in your street, (a party to celebrate Her Majesties 80th ?) use the site to announce it, find local help, ideas and maybe even a few new neighbourly guests.
What advice can you offer to help prevent neighbours becoming a victim of burglary? If you have been a victim of crime offer advice as to how you changed things so you won't be a repeat victim.
You may want to tell others about a great insurance deal you got, or a problem you have had dealing with an insurance company. Did you start a Neighbourhood Watch or get together with others in your street to do security marking?
Did you know that St Michaels now has a Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team. Who will be encouraged to review issues about crime and disorder posted on this site.
